Potomac Pilates Comes to Chevy Chase in Summer 2012

With spring officially upon us, now is the time we start thinking about bathing suit season.

Whether you want to lose weight or maintain your current size for the spring and summer, Potomac Pilates has a method of exercise that's tailor made to fit the modern person's lifestyle with core strengthening techniques and bottom blasting moves set at a fast pace.

This contemporary Pilates Studio is currently located in the Potomac Tennis Club, but will be opening its second location in Chevy Chase by mid-summer at the intersection of Western and Wisconsin Avenues next door to P.F. Chang’s.

“This is a great location for us in a space that has never been occupied,” said Potomac Pilates owner Reina Offutt Pratt. “We are a contemporary take on Pilates offering high energy, loud music at a fast pace with light weights.”

Not only do they teach Pilate’s at a beginner, intermediate, and advanced level, but have been licensed and certified to train BeyondBarre Classes as well. This type of fitness is a ballet-inspired exercise class with an intense 55 minute workout routine that creates long, lean muscle while lifting your backside, toning your thighs, and working on your core.

Barre, is one of my favorite workouts. As a woman I feel it attacks every area that we are unhappy with, and quickly. Your muscles may shake and contract uncontrollably while in a position, but it really works, and you feel rejuvenated after just one class.

If you're a new client, Potomac Pilates offers their first month of Pilates for only $99 and an Unlimited BeyondBarre Membership for $149.
