Md. crews respond to 3 possibly exposed to carbon monoxide


POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to a home in Potomac, Md. where one adult and two children were possibly exposed to carbon monoxide.

Crews responded to 7305 Burdette Ct. in Potomac, Md. Monday night, authorities said.

According to authorities, crews found a faulty water heater.

The EMS evaluated the three victims, however nobody was taken to the hospital, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said late Monday night.


2 Md. workers rescued after trench collapse


POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA9) --Two workers in Potomac had to be rescued after a trench collapsed Thursday evening.

The trench collapsed in the 10900 block of Martingale Court in Potomac, officials said.

One of the four crew members went to a neighbor's house and told them that a trench had collapsed and that they needed to call 911, fire and rescue officials reported.

The two workers were buried waist/shoulder deep in wet mud, fire and rescue officials reported. Both workers were conscious and breathing during the rescue, officials reported.

Man found guilty in Montgomery Mall road rage assault


POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA9) -- On Wednesday, a Potomac man was found guilty of nine counts related to a road rage incident at Montgomery Mall.

Court officials say that 25-year-old David Benjamin Goldberg cut Clifton Botts and Rachel Peterson in the parking lot of the shopping mall in November 2013 after a dispute over who had the right-of-way.

According to the police investigation, a dispute occurred between the three at a stop sign on the road that circles the mall. Goldberg drove through an intersection without coming to a complete stop and Botts and Peterson believed he had cut in front of them. Botts honked the horn at Goldberg and Goldberg yelled at them, according to documents. Botts then followed Goldberg to the next stop, where they got out of the car. Goldberg took off in his car.

Car crashes into Montgomery County home


POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County police say a man was seriously injured after crashing into a house Friday morning.

It happened in the
11100 block of Gainsborough Road.
Officials say the driver may have suffered a medical emergency that caused him to leave the road and hit the garage portion of the home.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

FOUND: Missing 26-year-old woman from Potomac


POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police said Sunday they have found a missing 26-year-old woman from Potomac. She is safe and unharmed in West Virginia.

Montgomery County Police Department is searching for a missing 26-year-old woman from Potomac, who last had contact with her family Saturday, authorities say.

According to the police, Sayeh Kassraei, 26, of the 8900 block of Falls Farm Drive in Potomac was last in touch with her family via phone around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Police said, she planned on traveling to West Virginia on Friday. Her family believes she made it to West Virginia, however her exact destination within the state is not known.

4 injured in accident on I-495 near Bethesda


BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA 9) -- Two Metrobus passengers are claiming injuries after the bus was involved in an accident on the Beltway Friday afternoon.

Authorities say that the Metrobus was involved in an accident with a passenger vehicle near the Old Georgetown Road exit on I-495.

Authorities report that two of the passengers in the involved vehicle are also claiming injuries.
