Reward Offered in North Bethesda Middle School Vandalism

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 2nd District continue to investigate a vandalism that occurred at North Bethesda Middle School over the weekend. Crime Solvers is now offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment in this case.

  Early in the morning on June 16th, school security officers responded to North Bethesda Middle School located at 8935 Bradmoor Drive for an active alarm.  They discovered vandalism to the school and contacted police.  At approximately 2:40 a.m. that morning, 2nd District officers responded to begin an investigation.  They found an ethnically-offensive word, a sexually-descriptive drawing, and several initials painted on the outside of the building.  They also found several windows had been broken.  As the investigation continued, they discovered that seven vehicles on Beech Avenue had paint on them, and one vehicle had the same ethnically-offensive word painted on it.

 Anyone who has information in reference to the vandalism to North Bethesda Middle School and Beech Avenue vehicles is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 301-657-0112.  Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information provided anonymously to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the individual(s) responsible.  Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Solvers by calling 1-866-411-TIPS toll-free or 240-773-8477.  Anonymous tips may be provided by typing “MCPD” plus the tip on a cell phone or PDA and texting it to 274637 (CRIMES).
