Md. police: increase in car vandalism

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Police are alerting residents in the Rockville and Potomac areas that there has been an increase in the number of vandalism to vehicle incidents during the month of April.

Authorities said since April 5, deputies have responded to at least 20 reports of vandalism to vehicles. Police said vehicle tires have been slash, vehicle windows have been broken, and vehicles have been spray painted.

According to authorities, the incidents happened at the following locations:

•Larkmeade Lane (1)

•Deborah Drive (3)

•Paulsboro Drive (1)

•Finegan Farm Drive (2)

•Seven Locks Road (2)

•Lochinver Lane (1)

•Powder Horn Drive (1)

•Old Coach Road (1)

•Lambertina Place (1)

•Broad Green Drive (4)

•Chilham Place (1)

•Seurat Drive (1)

•Woodington Drive (1)

Police said most of the incidents happened on the weekend, generally between the hours of 10 p.m. and the early morning hours.
