N. Potomac woman killed in Alaska plane crash

Two North Potomac residents were among the nine people killed when a sightseeing plane crashed in Southeast Alaska Thursday, authorities confirmed.

Glenda Cambiaso, 31, and Hugo Cambiaso, 69, were killed after their plane crashed into a a cliff in Ketchikan, Alaska, Alaskan State police said. The two were on a Holland American Cruise and took a sightseeing plane ride after getting off the boat while it was docked.

Montgomery County officials say Glenda Cambiaso was a social worker who spent five years in child welfare services in the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.

Investigators have not determined what caused the plane crash.
